Our Mission

Alcedo Consulting provides a consultancy service to upstream oil operators in the area of produced water management and water injection systems.

Our scope covers all those critical criteria used to form the basis of engineering design; source water characterisation, rock injectivity, water / water and water / rock compatibility, souring and corrosion. Our in-house engineers can then provide feasibility studies, FEEDs and detailed designs (process, mechanical, control, instrumentation and electrical) for the required produced water treatment and water injection system. Our expertise can be further used by clients to provide assistance during the procurement, installation and commissioning stages of a project.

Our History

Alcedo Consulting is a new name in the produced water business, having been formed in January 2010. However, Alcedo is owned by Alderley, a world renowned designer and manufacturer of metering systems and produced water treatment equipment. Alderley’s technical department has provided consultancy services to the upstream oil industry since 1989, via Alderley’s individual trading companies. Following a re-organisation of the group in 2009 this expertise is now available directly, and independently, to clients under the Alcedo Consulting name.

As the technology supplier to over 50 produced water treatment systems, Alcedo Consulting’s technical and engineering personnel have the detailed specialist knowledge to provide you with cost-effective and timely solutions for produced water disposal or produced water re-injection (PWRI) projects.

The independence of Alcedo Consulting is assured from Alderley’s long history as a total system provider, using the best available equipment from around the world to meet clients’ needs. Alderley also has other independent consultancies within the group, e.g. Kelton, which has an enviable reputation in gas metering consultancy.

We know that our clients are focused on producing oil; anything else is a distraction. For this reason Alcedo Consulting offers a 1-stop shop whereby one contract with us can cover a single element of our scope, our complete scope, or even our complete scope plus additional elements to be sub-contracted by us. Alcedo’s staff are highly experienced in international project management and understand the need to provide a simple and effective interface between the client and its suppliers.
